KUWAIT CITY, March 16: On Wednesday this week, 58 new prosecutors including 15 women, were sworn in before the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Muhammad bin Naji, and the Attorney General Judge Saad Al-Safran, reports Al-Qabas daily. The Public Prosecutor issued a decision to enroll them in the Public Prosecution Offices in accordance with what is required in the interest of working in the Public Prosecution Office.
An informed source said, “There is a new batch of law graduates for whom exams and interviews will be conducted. This will enhance the plan to implement Kuwaitization of the judiciary.” He affirmed the acceptance of women in all batches, explaining that the criterion is superiority and not gender. The source stressed that Kuwaiti women in the judiciary and the Public Prosecution have proven their worth in all the cases they investigated.
