Municipality campaigns in Jleeb and Ardiya

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16: Head of the Emergency Team of Farwaniya Municipality Ahmed Al-Sheriakah says the team, with the support of Ministry of Interior, carried out an extensive campaign targeting shops in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Ardiya Industrial Area. He explained that the campaign is part of the extended campaign titled “Contact us”.

Campaign of Shift C targeted Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area during which 13 unlicensed garages for car painting were removed and six citations for illegal advertisements were issued. Shift B’s campaign targeted shops located in Ardiya industrial Area during which seven citations were issued and 18 illegal advertisements were lifted. Meanwhile, Jahra Municipality’s Audit and Followup Department carried out a campaign targeting shopping centers and markets during which 20 citations were issued.

In a press statement, Acting Director General of the department Abdullah Al-Shimmari said citations were issued for a number of violations including 13 for advertisements were installed without obtaining the relevant licenses, six due to non-renewal of advertisements’ licenses and one due to the lack of maintenance of the advertisement.

In addition, Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality urged shop owners about the importance of installing informative signboards in front of the shop, and update them regularly as long as the relevant license is valid.
