LAST Saturday, in the Saudi capital Riyadh, the security forces shot down a ‘toy drone’ which was hovering near one of the royal palaces.

This was immediately announced the Saudi security forces and this was all that happened. This reality was very difficult for the evil minds to swallow.

They immediately began to speculate and their wishful thinking strayed far beyond their imaginations — imaginations which only fill the minds of the ‘junkies’ and soon the dirt began to spill out. One of the ‘tweets’ read the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was rushed to one of the air force. Another talked about a coup — a notion that can occupy only a sick mind.

On the other hand, the ‘Al- Jazeera’ Satellite TV channel and the fabricators of false news hired the press to appease Iran and its associates in the region who adopt such illusions — for reasons which are known to everyone — and hired the analysts and experts to ‘deliberate’ on the incident. It is common that similar incidents occur more often than not in several countries around the world. It is a well-known fact that, sensitive locations in any given country, particularly the royal and presidential palaces enjoy special protection.

The outcome would be the same if a ‘toy drone’ was spotted near the Buckingham Palace in England or the White House in the United States of America. Therefore, it is but rational to conclude that the shooting down of the toy drone by the security forces manning the royal palace in Riyadh was a normal reaction that can happen any time in case of breach of security. Undoubtedly, the aftermath of that normal and benign incident shows how immature some media outlets are.

However, the truth is, there is someone out there who is attempting to draw a political veil on security failures, and interference in the internal affairs of their neighbors. Such fictional, delusional and sick imaginations have no place in reality.

In fact, reading between the lines one can understand the evil desires and sins which cannot be easily forgiven. Anyone who has been following up the modern political development in the region knows how far the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has sustained attempts of tarnishing its image, fabrication, conspiracy and deceit.

This phenomenon is not new at all. It started when Jamal Abdul-Nasser organized a coup in 1952 in Egypt when King Farouq was in power and thought he could export his coup to other Arab countries, starting from Saudi Arabia. Abdul-Nasser met with disappointment and the similar disappointment befell on the Muslim Brotherhood Group which wanted to exploit the religious sentiments to achieve its objectives.

Here we are, disappointments coupled with failures continue to haunt the regime in Iran and its associates and agents in the region and pan-Arabism forces with which it attempts to ally itself looking success through exploitation but each times ends up in failure.

Four years ago, when the Houthi rebel movement revolted against the legitimate rulers in Yemen, rumors spread like wild fire that the Houthis were fast moving toward the royal palace in Riyadh and other palaces. In reality time and place did not support the rumormongers because the machinery of the news fabricators was moving faster than the Nazi Goebbels did. Everyone in the region followed the campaign with disgust which was launched by hired mouthpieces as in the past which accused the kingdom being of backwardness, anti-modernity and bigotry.

However, Almighty God blessed Saudi Arabia with a new leadership represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz and his Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, who has initiated the course to put the kingdom back to its centrist, balanced and openness politics after decades of closeness. With this transformation, the disgruntled mouthpieces began to accuse the kingdom of contradicting religion and traditions, whereas the kingdom continues to grow powerful and firm, and the security and stability continue to choke the evil and the wicked. The only way they thought they can succeed is by fabricating lies which cannot fool even an innocent child. One of the poets said, “My failure to respond to an insolent makes him think I am unable to respond. However, when I respond, I would have relieved him, and when I leave him alone, he’ll eat his heart out of anguish.” The above poem applies to the insolent and false media machine.
