KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14: The Public Prosecution continued interrogating an unidentified university professor and his brother who are accused of financing extremist elements in Syria, reports Al-Jarida daily. The daily added, men continue to be detained pending investigation.

The daily quoting sources said the two brothers are accused of financing groups in Syria classified as terrorists by the National Assembly. Both men are said to have ‘transferred’ more than half a million dinars in cash and even if the concerned authorities during interrogations have proved that they had collected money and transferred to the terrorists.

It is noteworthy to mention that the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs had requested to freeze the financial accounts of the professor saying he was linked to groups classified as terrorists.
