KUWAIT CITY, May 15: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is closely monitoring the implementation of the replacement policy in government agencies; along with the availability of national professionals in the central register of government employment, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources. Sources said this is in accordance with CSC Resolution No. 11/2017, which specifies the required percentages for each functional group. They affirmed that 10 functional groups have been quantified, with percentages ranging from 98 to 100 percent.

Sources revealed the decision has led to the termination of around 10,000 expatriate employees from the government sector over a span of five years. In the first year; 3,140 expatriate employees were laid off; followed by 1,550 in the second year; 1,437 in the third year; 1,843 in the fourth year and 2,000 in the fifth year, sources elaborated.
