KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: As part of the Ministry of Interior's ongoing efforts to combat crime in all its forms, the Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigations (Financial Crimes Department), launched several intensive security campaigns to apprehend those involved in fraud and practicing witchcraft and sorcery.
The campaigns resulted in the arrest of 12 individuals of various nationalities (both men and women) who were involved in fraudulent activities and practicing witchcraft and sorcery for monetary compensation. A large quantity of items used in witchcraft and sorcery was found in their possession, including paper talismans, amulets, stones, herbs, specialized books, personal photos, along with other tools and cash in the suspects' possession.
The suspects and seized items have been referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation and legal action. The Ministry of Interior warns citizens and residents against falling victim to fraud, especially those using witchcraft and sorcery as a means to deceive and exploit individuals financially. It urges everyone to exercise caution and refrain from engaging with individuals claiming to offer such services. Immediate reporting of such activities should be made through the emergency phone number (112) or other approved communication channels. The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to continuing intensive campaigns to apprehend those involved in these crimes and take the necessary legal actions to protect the community and ensure its stability.
