KUWAIT CITY, Sep 21: Chairperson of Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE), Engineers Faisal Al-Otol, announced that the society has uncovered 160 cases of forgery related to certificates submitted for attestation since the COVID-19 outbreak, and after switching to e-services.
Engineer Al-Otol pointed out that the process necessitated going to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and concerned authorities to follow-up cases to ensure that the processing of certificates will be halted as required by law, reports Al-Jarida daily. In a statement to the daily, Engineer Al-Otol explained that a meeting was held with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Dr Ahmed Al-Nasser who expressed appreciation for what the society had done, and praised its role after discovering the fraud and agreeing to hold periodic meetings with consular affairs to resolve the crisis of seals, signatures and attestation, and to limit corruption and forgery in this regard.
In addition, Engineer Al-Otol said the society signed an agreement to conduct tests for 80 professions in cooperation with Britain, concerned committee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, which has welcomed this step and appreciated its importance.
