KUWAIT CITY, April 26: The latest statistics released by the Ministry of Justice revealed that travel ban was imposed on 18,898 citizens and expatriates in the first quarter of this year – from Jan 1 to March 31, reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily obtained a copy of the statistics, showing that the Farwaniya Execution Department recorded the highest number of individuals banned from traveling with 4,895; followed by Ahmadi with 3,658; Jahra with 3,086; Hawally with 3,004; the Capital with 2,784 and Mubarak Al-Kabeer with 1,471. Legal sources disclosed that most of these cases are due to marital expenses and traffic violations

On the number of lifted travel ban, the statistics revealed that the number reached 10,657 with the Capital Execution Department recording the highest – 3,740; followed by Farwaniya with 2,183; Jahra with 1,608; Hawally with 1,305; Ahmadi with 1,288 and Mubarak Al-Kabeer with 553. In addition, the number of individuals banned from traveling as per of rulings of family courts reached 1,079 with the Hawally Execution Department recording the highest – 322, followed by Farwaniya with 198, Jahra with 187, the Capital with 180, Ahmadi with 112 and Mubarak Al-Kabeer with 80.
