20 domestic worker office licenses suspended, 6 new permits issued

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) announced that, according to the latest statistics from the Department of Regulating and Recruiting Domestic Workers, 20 licenses were suspended over the past month. Additionally, 4 license cancellation requests were received, 41 licenses were renewed, and the suspension of 17 licenses was lifted.

The Authority also reported that 6 new licenses were issued for practicing the profession, raising the total number of domestic worker recruitment offices to 457. Furthermore, 400 complaints were registered from both business owners and workers. The Authority urged business owners to seek information from official sources rather than social media to safeguard their rights and encouraged both employers and workers to consult the department to resolve any issues within legal frameworks.
