KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27, (Agencies): In confirmation of the details published in the Nov 19, 2023 issue of "Al-Anbaa," which announced recruitment for contractors' contracts in the oil sector, a reliable oil source has disclosed to "Al-Anbaa" the comprehensive breakdown of available vacancies within the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries. The total number of vacancies under contractors' contracts has reached 2,046 jobs.

Oil sector job boom: Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announces 2,046 contractor roles.

The National Petroleum Company leads with the highest number of vacancies, boasting 683 positions distributed across 642 jobs, along with an additional 41 vacancies within loan labor agreements. The Kuwait Oil Company follows closely with 661 vacancies, spanning 575 jobs and an extra 86 positions catering to high school diploma holders in the public sector.

The Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) presents 507 job vacancies under contractor contracts, while the Kuwait Oil Tanker Company offers 91 vacancies, comprising 64 positions subject to Kuwaitization and 27 positions under contractor contracts. The Petroleum Chemical Industry Company has 29 vacancies, the Gulf Oil Company has 16, the Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) has 18, the International Petroleum Company has 8, and the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (main building) reports 33 vacancies.

As for government contracts held by contractors in the oil sector, a total of 305 contracts are in place. These contracts are distributed among the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (7 contracts), the Kuwait Oil Company (143 contracts), the National Petroleum Company (81 contracts), the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) (17 contracts), the Petroleum Chemical Industry Company (7 contracts), the Gulf Oil Company (40 contracts), and the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) (1 contract).

The source also revealed that expatriate workers in contractor contracts within the oil sector total approximately 23,800 individuals, with 10,389 in the National Petroleum Company, 9,357 in the Kuwait Oil Company, 2,675 in the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC), and 345 at the Kuwait Gulf Oil Company.

On the national front, about 5,413 Kuwaiti workers are employed under contractor contracts across the Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries. The distribution includes 18 at the Petroleum Corporation (main building), 4,012 at the Kuwait Oil Company, 1,041 at the National Petroleum Company, 109 at the Oil Tanker Company, 170 at the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC), 35 at the Petroleum Chemical Industry Company, 9 at the Gulf Oil Company, and 19 at the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC).
