KUWAIT CITY, Sept 22: The Public Prosecution has decided to detain the President of the Football Association, his deputy, and the Secretary-General for a period of 21 days, referring them to Central Prison.
This action follows the events surrounding the Kuwait-Iraq match, during which the officials denied accusations of broadcasting false news on social media. The allegations suggest that their actions harmed the country’s interests and negatively impacted Kuwaiti-Iraqi relations.
