First Kuwait Airways evacuation flight arrives from Lebanon with 226 passengers.

KUWAIT CITY, June 23: In a swift execution of the evacuation plan announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuwait Airways flight No. 504 landed at dawn today with 226 passengers returning from Lebanon. This marks the beginning of a comprehensive effort to ensure the safety of Kuwaiti citizens amid escalating regional tensions.

Passengers expressed their gratitude and pride in the efforts of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kuwaiti Embassy in Lebanon for their diligent communication and concern. Fahd Al-Azmi, one of the returnees, shared his experience with Al-Rai at T4 Airport. "My friend and I arrived in Beirut yesterday for a summer vacation. As soon as the Ministry announced the evacuation, the embassy contacted us via text messages. They swiftly changed our travel tickets and stayed in touch until our plane took off. Our safety is much more important, and their efforts were commendable," he said.

Khaled Al-Shalimi, another returning citizen, thanked the Kuwaiti leadership and the embassy for their prompt action. "The embassy and airlines were keen to inform us about our return. My flight was originally scheduled for two days later, but I chose to heed the Foreign Ministry's warning. Their commitment to the safety of Kuwaiti citizens is admirable," Al-Shalimi noted.

Khaled Al-Majed emphasized the importance of returning promptly despite the seemingly calm situation in Beirut. "Things are manageable now, but the situation could escalate at any moment, making it difficult to leave later. I urge citizens in Beirut to follow the Foreign Ministry’s instructions. The state provided large-sized aircraft and communicated effectively through various channels. We must comply with the instructions without recklessness," Al-Majed stressed.

Kuwait Airways has increased its flight capacity to Beirut to ensure all citizens wishing to return can do so promptly. The coordinated efforts by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kuwaiti embassy in Beirut, and Kuwait Airways highlight the government's dedication to the safety and well-being of its citizens abroad.

For further information and updates, citizens are encouraged to stay in contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kuwaiti embassy in Beirut.
