KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department for Combating Narcotics, successfully disrupted the promotion of narcotic and psychotropic drugs within the country. A total of 23 suspects were arrested in 17 different cases, and authorities seized approximately 42 kilograms of narcotics and around 9,000 psychotropic pills, along with cash. During questioning, the accused admitted that the substances were intended for trafficking and personal use. The suspects and confiscated materials were referred to the competent authority for legal action. This operation is part of the Ministry of Interior's ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and psychotropic substance abuse while intensifying security campaigns to target drug networks and preserve public safety.
