Banking sector absorbed the highest
KUWAIT CITY, March 2: A report issued by the Public Manpower Authority shows 234 registered companies in the private sector offered 43,580 jobs to citizens in the best companies according to the available national labor specialties, while the total number of those entitled to the payment of labor support allowances was approximately 61,000 citizens, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The report shows 30 companies which are listed as the best, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily shows, 32,993 jobs have been provided for the Kuwaitis which about 75% of the total opportunities announced by companies, ranging from 458 to 2,627 opportunities in the banking sector, telecommunications companies, construction, trade and libraries.
The report pointed out that more than 44% of the jobs provided to Kuwaitis in the private sector were in the commercial banking sector with a total of 14,728 jobs, the highest of which are Commercial Bank, followed by the National Bank, Gulf, Burgan, Kuwait Finance House, Kuwait International, Al Ahli, Boubyan and Al Ahli United in that sequence.
The report also mentioned only 10 cooperative societies offered employment opportunities, the highest of which was in the Jaber Al-Ahmad Cooperative with 821 opportunities, followed by Al-Zahra with 112, Salmiya 30, Adan and Al-Qasr 18, Fahaheel 15, Al-Abdali 17, Omariya 5 and to Bayan and Al-Jahra 2 each.. The fuel and oil companies have provided 2,740 jobs, 888 by Wataniya Telecom, 789 by MH Al Shaya, 2,124 by Yousuf Ahmed Al Ghanim and 1,205 Sultan for General Trading and Contracting.
The report pointed out that the companies provided jobs for 65 citizens who hold doctorate certificates, in universities and private hospitals and the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research and others, in addition to 146 holders of the Master’s degree which varied between food, contracting, telecommunications companies, universities and others. It was remarkable that the number of jobs offered to national workers from universities increased by 30 local companies reaching 10,042 jobs, the highest of which was in the banking sector.
