KUWAIT CITY, Dec 18: The Ministry of Education will implement an evening work system starting January 5, in accordance with decisions by the Council of Ministers and the Civil Service Commission. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to enhance job performance and maximize productivity during both morning and evening periods.
Informed sources revealed that the Ministry of Education carried out a comprehensive study to implement the proposal across its various sectors, focusing on areas where the nature of work aligns with evening shifts, particularly those closely linked to teachers, students, and school facilities. The study found that 256 employees from three different sectors expressed interest in participating in the evening shift during the initial phase.
The sources indicated that the evening shift, set to commence as an initial experimental phase, will be closely monitored with daily follow-ups and evaluations of achievement rates. These will be compared with morning performance levels to ensure a proper balance and enhance the quality of work across the ministry’s various sectors during both periods.
The ministry has established clear criteria for selecting employees for the evening shift to maintain high performance standards without compromising the morning shift. These criteria include the employee’s willingness to participate, approval from their direct supervisor, prioritization of experienced and competent staff, and adherence to work hours with efficient task completion.
