KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: The National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters (NCCAL) announced the launch of the second season of the National Cultural Challenge for Electronic Games, set to take place from January 25 to January 29. The event is organized with the support of the Public Authority for Youth and Kuwait University and will feature 51 young men and women who excel in the field of video games.

Program Director Omaima Al-Saad highlighted the significant impact of electronic games on the culture of the new generation, noting that they represent a small but integral part of the emerging world shaped by modern digital culture. In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Wednesday, Al-Saad expressed her delight at the strong response from young people eager to participate, which she believes demonstrates that the council's programs align with youth interests and are on the right track.

Al-Saad explained that the objective of this challenge is to attract young individuals skilled in electronic games and their creation. She emphasized that this initiative is part of the National Council for Culture’s ongoing efforts to develop and diversify support for the creative economy. Additionally, it aims to foster the growth of young people who can work independently through their skills and hobbies, ultimately contributing to discovering and developing their talents.

Al-Saad also praised the NCCAL’s continuous support for youth, noting that the program was first launched in August as part of the 16th Cultural Summer Festival, where it achieved significant success.
