KUWAIT CITY, Jan 22: A colonel, a lieutenant colonel, and a police officer, who were accused of being involved in a security chase in Qashaniyyah that resulted in the death of a young Bedoun resident, have been released on bail worth KD 500 each, with a travel ban imposed on them. The First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Minister of Defense Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef referred them, along with six other security personnel, to the Public Prosecution on charges related to the death of the young Bedoun resident and injuries to another suspect during the chase. The security personnel initially claimed that the victim’s death was caused by his vehicle overturning. However, the Public Prosecution charged them with murder after discovering gunshot wounds on the body of the deceased.
