35 Drunk Drivers held

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 8: The General Department of Police continued its security and traffic campaigns in all governorates, which resulted in the referral of 19 individuals to the Drugs Control General Department and the detention of 35 others for being in a state of drunkenness. According to the weekly statistics from the Police patrols, 152 individuals were arrested for violating residency laws, seven people were apprehended in possession of alcoholic substances, and 67 vehicles were wanted in civil cases, and six vehicles, whose drivers committed serious violations, were seized.

The patrols managed to break up 49 quarrels and successfully contain the situation, with legal measures taken against those involved. Furthermore, the patrols provided 303 humanitarian assistance. A security source affirmed that the Rescue Police patrols will continue their security campaigns in all governorates and roads to arrest wanted individuals and maintain public order.
