KUWAIT CITY, March 24: The Kuwait Municipality has launched a campaign to remove violating advertisements in Mubarak Al-Kabeer during the 2024 National Assembly elections. The initiative involves field trips conducted by municipal branches across the governorates, reports Al-Rai daily. During these tours, a total of 365 violating advertisements were identified and removed. Among them were 46 election advertisements lacking proper licenses for the 2024 National Assembly elections. Additionally, 319 advertisements of various sizes were taken down for non-compliance with regulations.

The municipality emphasizes the continuation of these field trips throughout the election period. Inspectors from the departments of audit and follow-up of municipal services are actively involved in these efforts. In Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipality Governorate, inspectors conducted thorough inspections to enforce legal provisions. They removed advertisements placed outside electoral headquarters or in residential areas without authorization. Furthermore, random advertisements from streets and squares, as well as those not licensed by the municipality, were also targeted for removal.
