KUWAIT CITY, Jan 10: Kuwait’s Ministry of Health (MoH) registered on Monday 3,683 additional COVID-19 cases over a 24-hour span, increasing the total number of infections to 437,602, while zero fatalities were recorded, with one death toll at 2,472. There were 388 fresh recovery cases, increasing the total to 414,241 cured people so far, as recoveries represent 94.6 percent of the overall infections, MoH’s Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA. Active cases amounted to 20,889 with 14 of them in intensive care units, and 147 patients at hospital wards, he said. Health authorities conducted 36,318 swab tests to a total of 6,235,969, which meant that 10.1 percent of swab tests performed in 24 hours were infections, he revealed.
