385 Expats Arrested, 497 Deported in Four Days

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 17: In line with the directives of His Excellency the Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, Kuwait has ramped up its efforts to enforce residency and labor laws across all governorates. The General Department of Residency Affairs Investigations, specifically the Violators Follow-up and Inspection Departments, conducted a series of security campaigns and inspections from November 11 to November 14, 2024.

These efforts resulted in the arrest of 385 expats violating residency and labor laws, with necessary legal procedures initiated to prepare them for deportation. Additionally, 497 others were deported in  4 days.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized its unwavering commitment to holding violators and their employers accountable, affirming its dedication to upholding the country’s laws and ensuring security and order.
