396 residency violators arrested and 568 deported in latest crackdown

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24: In line with the directives of His Excellency the Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s security forces have ramped up efforts to apprehend violators of residency and labor laws. The General Department of Residency Investigations conducted extensive inspection campaigns between November 17 and 21, 2024, resulting in the arrest of 396 individuals in violation of residency and labor regulations.

In addition to the arrests, the department successfully deported 568 individuals who were found in breach of the law. The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that necessary legal actions are being pursued against all detainees.

The Ministry also reiterated its commitment to intensifying security operations across the country. These efforts are aimed at ensuring strict adherence to residency laws, with accountability being enforced on both workers and employers.
