KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22: Ahmadi Governorate police have dismantled a local liquor manufacturing operation inside a house in the Wafra residential area and arrested seven suspects, including four Indians and three Nepalis.

The operation was carried out by the Wafra Police Station under the Ahmadi Governorate Security Directorate.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the case came to light when a police patrol conducting routine duties near the Wafra Residential Cooperative Society stopped a motorist who was driving against traffic while entering the society’s parking lot.

During questioning, officers noticed bags containing bottles inside the vehicle. The driver admitted that the bottles contained locally manufactured liquor and said he had obtained them from a house in the Wafra residential area.

Following the information, a security force was dispatched to the house, where officers uncovered the illegal liquor manufacturing operation and arrested seven people allegedly involved in running it.

The operation resulted in the seizure of:

  • 820 bottles of locally manufactured liquor
  • 110 barrels of liquor
  • Two water heaters used in the operation
  • Two vehicles allegedly used to transport the liquor

The seven suspects, along with the seized items, were referred to the competent authorities for the necessary legal action.

The Ministry of Interior continues to conduct security operations targeting illegal activities and violations of the law across Kuwait.
