KUWAIT CITY, Aug 28: An incident involving the mugging of an expatriate was officially recorded as a felony. The crime has been classified as theft by coercion.
The 40-year-old expatriate reported to the local police station that, while walking in the Amghara area at around 6:00 p.m., he was approached by a stranger driving a red four-wheel drive vehicle. The assailant, whom the expatriate had never seen before, stopped him, slapped him in the face, and forcibly took his wallet, which contained his driving license and 270 dinars. The expatriate provided a medical report as part of the case file, which noted, "Report of assault by others, with no visible injuries."
