KUWAIT CITY, Nov 18: The Ministry of Interior's weekly statistics revealed significant law enforcement efforts, including thousands of traffic violations, vehicle seizures, and arrests.
From November 9 to 15, the General Traffic Department monitored 39,170 traffic violations and seized 105 vehicles and 55 motorcycles under Article 207 of the Executive Regulations of the Traffic Law. Additionally, 48 vehicles wanted in various cases and 21 individuals sought by other authorities were detained.
Four individuals suspected of possessing narcotics were referred to the General Department for Combating Narcotics, while one person exhibiting abnormal behavior was handed over to the relevant authorities. During the same period, 2,548 reports were received, and 1,589 traffic accidents were documented, including 1,394 collisions and 195 accidents resulting in injuries.
In the period from November 10 to 16, the General Department of Rescue Police reported the arrest of 211 wanted persons and the seizure of 122 vehicles implicated in cases. Six individuals were apprehended for possession of materials suspected to be alcoholic beverages. The department also addressed 13 reports of suspicious activities, resolved 13 quarrels, and provided humanitarian assistance to 249 individuals.
Additionally, police recorded 5,464 traffic violations, impounded 20 vehicles, referred 17 juveniles to the Juvenile Prosecution, and imposed precautionary measures on 32 violators.
These efforts underscore the Ministry's commitment to maintaining safety and enforcing traffic regulations across the country.
