KUWAIT CITY, March 31: The Public Relations Department at Kuwait Municipality has confirmed the removal of 448 advertisements in Ahmadi Governorate for violating election regulations, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the department, the Municipality branches in the governorates are conducting field trips to remove violating advertisements during the 2024 National Assembly election period. It added that inspectors from the audit and follow-up of municipal services departments are monitoring violations throughout the election period.

Inspectors from the Audit and Services Follow-up Department in the Ahmadi Governorate branch of the Municipality carried out an inspection tour within the framework of implementing the provisions of the law by removing violating advertisements on the roads outside the walls of the electoral headquarters or on the streets of residential areas, as well as removing random advertisements from streets and squares, and advertisements not licensed by the Municipality.

The Municipality indicated that the tours resulted in the removal of 448 violating election advertisements and the issuance of 23 warnings, indicating the violations included the installation of advertisements without a license and advertisements outside the election headquarters. It also affirmed that inspectors will continue to carry out their field tours to monitor violating advertisements and remove them immediately, stressing the need to adhere to the provisions of the law to avoid committing violations and payment of fine.
