KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: Inspectors from the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition Food Authority have seized 45 kilos of various types foodstuffs believed to be unfit for human consumption.

According to Al-Rai daily this happened during an inspection of a number of restaurants in the Sharq region.

The campaign was carried by the PAFN Inspection Department, Capital Governorate Branch, headed by Ali Al-Kandari, during which citations were issued against 25 restaurants for violating the laws and regulations. During the campaign 10 restaurant owners have signed pledges to rectify mistakes.

The restaurants were penalized for not complying with health requirements, including workers not holding health certificates.
