KUWAIT CITY, Jan 19: The death sentence was carried out this morning against five individuals convicted of murder, including a Kuwaiti citizen who had previously received a stay order for execution in September.
The convicted individuals were executed in the prison compound following legal procedures. Among them was a Kuwaiti woman who had been sentenced for murdering her friend.
The source also revealed that, in a turn of events, three of the convicts were granted pardons by the victims' families just hours before the executions were scheduled. However, the remaining sentences were carried out as planned.
