'500 vehicle transfers processed in first hours of new 'Sahel' service'

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 3: Brigadier General Khaled Al-Adwani, Director of the Technical Office Department in the Traffic Affairs and Operations Sector at the Ministry of Interior, revealed that the Ministry has introduced several electronic services to ease the process for visitors. These services began with the driving licenses department, which helped reduce the burden on visitors, followed by vehicle services and technical inspections introduced four months ago. Most recently, the Ministry has enabled the transfer of individuals’ vehicles through the Sahel application.

Al-Adwani stated that the Ministry processed 500 transactions within the first nine hours of launching the vehicle transfer service via Sahel. He noted that, at this stage, the service is only available for private cars and motorcycles and does not yet include companies. This achievement follows more than five months of work in collaboration with various government agencies, the General Administration of Information Systems, and the Insurance Regulatory Unit.
