KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: The Ministry of Interior has achieved another significant breakthrough, as the General Department for Combating Drugs successfully apprehended two Kuwaiti citizens—one of whom is an officer with the Ministry of Interior—along with four individuals of Asian nationality, all involved in distributing a large number of imported liquor bottles.
Following a meticulous and thorough investigation, authorities seized approximately 3,000 bottles of imported alcohol, a piece of hashish, and sums of money in Kuwaiti dinars and US dollars. The total market value of the seized goods is estimated at around 200,000 Kuwaiti dinars.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the law, emphasizing that no one is above it and that it will be applied uniformly, without exception. The relevant authorities continue to apprehend those seeking to destabilize the country.
The accused and the confiscated items have been referred to the appropriate authorities for legal action.
