KUWAIT CITY, Feb 19: This year’s Eid Al-Fitr holiday will be six days if the holy month of Ramadan completes 30 days. Sources disclosed that based on the above, April 9 is the last day of Ramadan; so Eid Al-Fitr will be three days from April 10-12 (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday), in addition to April 14 (Sunday) which will be declared a rest day in lieu of Friday (April 12) and this needs Cabinet approval. If approved, the Eid holiday will be six days. However, if the holy month does not complete 30 days; the Eid holiday will be three days only — from April 9-11 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), sources added.
