LOS ANGELES, Jan 27, (Agencies): A tragic incident unfolded in Newton, Kansas, as 69-year-old Wanda Hoyle lost her life following a medical emergency that led to her crashing into the local Walmart on Friday. The Newton, KS Police Department revealed in a Facebook news release that Hoyle's vehicle collided with the vision center of the superstore. Authorities attributed the crash to a medical emergency she experienced, causing her car to penetrate halfway into Walmart. Fortunately, no other individuals suffered injuries in the incident.

Emergency responders, including the Newton Fire Department and EMS personnel, rushed to the scene and discovered Hoyle pinned inside her vehicle. Regrettably, she was pronounced dead at the site. In the aftermath of the accident, the superstore underwent evacuation due to structural damage to the building, as detailed in the Newton, KS Police Department's Facebook news release. The City of Newton code enforcement mandated the closure of the facility until a structural engineer could assess its stability.

Upon inspection by the Newton Fire Department, the Newton Engineering department, and Walmart's engineers, it was determined that the building was safe. Subsequently, the facility was released to Walmart management, allowing the necessary measures to be taken for its reopening.
