KUWAIT CITY, March 26: A seven-year old Kuwaiti boy attempted to commit suicide by hanging himself inside his room in Abdullah Al-Mubarak area. Even though his father denied that his son attempted suicide and said his son had fallen in bathroom, his mother informed the authorities that it was a suicide attempt. According to the police report, the incident investigator at Farwaniya Hospital referred a medical report to the Abdullah Al-Mubarak Police Station. The medical report explained that the hospital received a seven-year old boy who had no pulse, and some marks were found on his neck. He was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition. The report revealed that the boy’s mother told the hospital that her son attempted to commit suicide but his father told them that he fell in the bathroom. Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Desperate youth: An unidentified 20 years old youth who attempted to end his life by jumping from the roof of his house was rescued by police, reports Al-Rai daily. According to reports it took the security authorities two hours to convince the youth to give up the idea. The victim reportedly was desperate after the divorce of the parents and the mother insisted that he should live with his father. A case of suicide attempt has been registered against the youth.
