KUWAIT CITY, Dec 13: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works Engr Ismail Al-Failakawi has issued a decision to terminate the services of 80 non-Kuwaiti employees in the ministry as of March 2021, reports Al-Anba daily. Engr Al-Failakawi explained that the ministry aims to implement a plan that would develop the ministry’s work mechanism and empower national cadres through the Kuwaitization plan that the ministry seeks to implement during the next phase.

Those who were included in the decision are working as consultants, accountants and engineers, as well as those under the provision of commission and special contracts, and those who used to work in the ministry during the previous period. He revealed that the end-of-service letters have been sent by the ministry as a legal procedure, and that the ministry sent a list of the 80 non-Kuwaiti employees to the Civil Service Commission as per the required procedures.
