KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: The Ministry of Communications said, Monday, that the Liberation Tower received more than 8,000 visitors during the celebrations of national holidays, including citizens, residents, diplomats, and tourists from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, reports Al-Qabas daily. The Ministry said in a press statement on the occasion of the conclusion of the activities of the Liberation Tower, which started last Thursday and lasted for four days under the title ‘Glory and Pride’, crowds of citizens, residents and others attended the activities in the mornings and evenings, to take part in Kuwait’s joy during the national occasion. The ministry stated that the activities included various programs in the Liberation Tower Square, organized by government institutions, public benefit associations, and cultural, environmental and historical volunteer youth teams. An exhibition was also held in the tower, at a height of 150 meters, for the historical holdings of the Ministry.

Pointed The sources pointed to the participation of many photography competitions enthusiasts who were keen to take pictures of Kuwait City from above, stressing on the other hand that the organizing committee throughout the specified days provided all requirements of special hospitality for diplomats and general for the public. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works Undersecretary Eng Mai Al-Massad issued an administrative decision obliging engineers in charge of sewage treatment plants, pumping stations and tertiary treatment plants to be always present in these facilities to monitor their performance, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The decision stressed the need for the ministry or concerned investors to meet the environmental requirements, while reports in this regard must be submitted to the undersecretary regularly for the latter to take action if the need arises
