KUWAIT CITY, May 15: The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy started implementing the contract for the construction of nine fresh water towers in Al-Mutlaa Residential City and the ancillary works, as the project contractor has completed all licenses related to the these works as stipulated in the contract awarded towards the end of last year in accordance with the specifications set by the ministry at a total cost of KD7.796 million, reports Al-Anba daily. Sources confirmed the ministry had earlier established several water tanks in Al-Mutlaa as part of the infrastructure works being carried out to supply water to the city and serve the families who own plots there, in addition to various government buildings. Sources added the infrastructure works include the establishment of a main line to supply water to the city, stressing all approvals have been obtained. Sources revealed the fresh water towers will be constructed on Plot Two in the city.
