KUWAIT CITY, Jul 18: The Tourism Enterprises Company (TEC) signed a 17-year contract for managing and operating the Messilah Beach (Phase 2) project with the United Projects for Aviation Services Company (UPAC) on Thursday. Developed by TEC, this project is part of several initiatives aimed at revitalizing Kuwait's tourism sector, as stated by TEC Chairman Sheikh Mohammad Salman Al-Sabah in a press release.
Sheikh Mohammad Al-Sabah emphasized that TEC aims to enhance Kuwait's tourism and entertainment sectors, aligning with national economic and tourism policies to promote comprehensive and sustainable development and improve citizens' welfare through innovative projects. He stressed the importance of delivering high-quality services and creating a unique cultural and tourism experience for all visitors.
UPAC CEO Nadia Aqeel similarly highlighted that the Messilah Beach project will strengthen Kuwait's tourism sector and expand options for family entertainment. Aqeel expressed UPAC's ambition to broaden its contracts in entertainment and facilities management, noting that Messilah Beach will offer a safe and enjoyable environment for family leisure.
The contract was signed on behalf of Tourism Projects by Acting CEO Abdullah Al-Jaafar and on behalf of UPAC by CEO Nadia Aqeel. The Messilah Beach project is designed to host exciting entertainment events and water sports, featuring various swimming pools, commercial spaces for restaurants, cafes, shops, a multi-purpose events hall, chalets, administrative offices, and ample parking.
