KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9: Bashar Abdullah, the Director General of the Public Authority for Sports, met with Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef, President of the Kuwait Football Association, and Hassan Hassan, Director of Projects and Development at FIFA. The meeting focused on upcoming development projects for the Kuwait Football Association, with FIFA providing significant support. The three parties discussed the finalization of a comprehensive plan for a major infrastructure project aimed at enhancing the Kuwaiti Football Federation’s facilities, sectors, and teams.


Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef announced that FIFA had allocated over $6.5 million for the project, which is set to begin in early 2025. The agreed-upon location for the project will serve as a new, integrated national football landmark.

Sheikh Al-Yousef expressed his gratitude to FIFA’s representative and the Public Authority for Sports for their commitment to advancing Kuwait’s football infrastructure and supporting the achievement of the sport’s strategic goals in the country.
