KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: In 2024, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) partnered closely with the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and the Kuwait Banking Association (KBA) to support the ‘Let's Be Aware’ banking awareness campaign, aimed at achieving financial inclusion in Kuwait. The campaign seeks to educate customers on a variety of topics, including different types of accounts, cards, bank loans, customer rights and obligations, combating banking and financial fraud, investment and savings, digital services, and resources for individuals with special needs.
ABK took an active role in promoting the campaign by participating in and sponsoring multiple events. These included the graduation ceremony for students at Kuwait University, a tree planting campaign in Shaab Health City, and participation in the Porsche Club Kuwait event, alongside contributions to Amiri Hospital and the Kuwait Bar Association conference.
To further raise awareness, the Bank organized ‘Let's Be Aware’ paddle tournaments for both men and women, where participants were introduced to key topics of the campaign. Cultural competitions were also held, focusing on the importance of the banking sector, ways to combat financial fraud, and the necessity of safeguarding personal banking data. ABK emphasized best practices in saving, investment methods, and the importance of informing customers about secure banking options.
In addition, the Bank engaged with the community through interviews on radio stations and Kuwait TV, publishing news related to the campaign to ensure its success alongside the efforts of CBK and KBA.
Awareness videos were released on the Bank's social media platforms, website, and mobile app, garnering significant engagement from followers. The campaign's visibility was further enhanced through advertisements in cinemas and on billboards throughout major streets, attracting the attention of both moviegoers and commuters.
The collaboration with the CBK and KBA also led to the dissemination of advice to customers in the banking sector through infographics, videos, and images, helping the campaign reach diverse segments of Kuwaiti society. Cultural competitions held in shopping malls offered opportunities for participants to win prizes while increasing awareness of the importance of protecting personal data during financial transactions.
Moreover, the Bank committed to sending monthly text messages to customers, covering various campaign topics and enhancing their financial knowledge. This initiative reflects ABK’s dedication to safeguarding customer data with the highest security standards.
ABK reaffirms its commitment to continue supporting the campaign and enhance collaboration with CBK and KBA. Together, they aim to deliver innovative strategies for communicating the campaign's goals across Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to all citizens and residents.
