ABU DHABI, July 17: Abu Dhabi Police have unveiled a cutting-edge smart robot designed to engage with the public, answer inquiries, and bolster traffic awareness initiatives across the city. Resembling the human form, this innovative robot is equipped to provide educational lectures, answer queries, and educate the public on important safety guidelines, such as adhering to stop signs on school buses.
Developed under the supervision of national cadres from the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, the robot represents a significant advancement in technology aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness in law enforcement and security operations.
Brigadier Mahmoud Yousef Al Balushi, Director of the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, emphasized that this new technology has not only optimized operational processes but has also yielded positive outcomes in police and security endeavors. The robot's capabilities include displaying digital traffic awareness videos, offering traffic-related advice, and facilitating interactive traffic competitions to promote safer driving practices.
In a related effort to promote road safety, Abu Dhabi Police also recently recognized 1.9 million safe drivers with rewards for their exemplary adherence to traffic regulations, underscoring the ongoing commitment to enhancing public safety and traffic management in the region.
