KUWAIT CITY, May 15: The Ministry of Interior has called on those who violated the Residency Law to take advantage of the amnesty, which will end on June 17, to amend their status or leave the country within the specified period to avoid legal accountability. Consequently, the ministry continues to exert tremendous efforts to arrest those who violated the Residency and Labor laws. The ongoing inspection campaigns of the Residency Affairs Investigation General Department resulted in the arrest of 43 individuals of various nationalities in Farwaniya Governorate and Shuwaikh Industrial Area.
In addition, the campaign of the Tripartite Committee -- whose members are from the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Interior -- in Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorates led to the arrest of 25 individuals of different nationalities proven to have violated the Residency and Labor laws. All those arrested were referred to the concerned authorities for the necessary legal measures.
