LOS ANGELES, Nov 1, (Agencies): Bijou Phillips, estranged wife of Danny Masterson, has made a return to social media, marking her first post since filing for divorce following her husband's prison sentence for rape.

On Halloween, Phillips, the daughter of iconic musicians John Phillips of The Mamas & The Papas and actress Genevieve Waite, took to Instagram to send a birthday message to her long-time friend Nicky Hilton. In her post, the 43-year-old actress shared two pictures, one featuring Hilton and another with Alice + Olivia CEO Stacey Bendet and U Beauty founder Tina Chen Craig. She expressed her love for Nicky Hilton in a heartfelt message.

This Halloween post signifies Phillips' reemergence on social media after her last post in June 2020 when she participated in a campaign to fill Instagram with black squares in support of the Black Lives Matter movement following the death of George Floyd. Since then, Phillips has been notably silent and even disabled comments on her posts.

In September, Bijou Phillips initiated divorce proceedings against Danny Masterson, 47, after 12 years of marriage. Her decision followed Masterson's conviction and sentencing to 30 years in prison for two counts of rape. Both Phillips and Hilton had initially met the actor during their involvement with the Church of Scientology.

Phillips cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for ending their marriage. Her attorney, Peter A. Lauzon, emphasized that her primary concern remained with her daughter.

In addition to seeking spousal support and the restoration of her maiden name, Phillips requested legal and physical custody of their 9-year-old daughter, Fianna Francis Masterson. Masterson responded to her divorce filing, agreeing to grant her custody of Fianna and also indicating his desire for visitation rights.
