KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24: The Kuwaiti Football Club (Al-Kuwait) played a match against their Syrian counterpart, Al-Ahly Aleppo, at Al-Sharaya Stadium in the Holy City of Mecca during the second group matches of the AFC Cup. The game ended in a draw, with both teams scoring a goal each.

Al-Ahly Aleppo took the lead with a goal by their player, Mohammed Al-Nayef, in the 22nd minute. However, the Tunisian striker Taha Al-Khanisi of Al-Kuwait Club equalized the score in the 46th minute. This result temporarily placed Al-Kuwait Club at the top of the group with five points.

In the first round, Kuwait had a goalless draw against Iraq's Al-Kahraba, and in the second round, they secured a victory against Jordan's Al-Wehdat with a score of 2-1. The ongoing tournament, which began in 2004, has seen the Kuwait Club and the Iraqi Air Force Club as the most successful, both having won the tournament three times.
