Kuwaiti players celebrate after their victory over Bahrain.

MANAMA Oct 12,:The Kuwait team, known as Futsal Blue, performed exceptionally well by  securing their place in the AFC Futsal Cup finals to be held in Thailand in 2024. In the last match of the third round, they defeated the Bahrain 5-3 at the Khalif City Sports Hall in Manama.  

Futsal Blue achieved a clean record in Group Six, winning all three of their qualifying matches.

In their match against the Bahrain  , Kuwait fell behind but quickly equalized through player Nasser Al-Alaban. They further extended their lead with goals from Mohammed Al-Ajmi and Salman Al-Baijan.

Bahrain managed to score two goals to level the game at 3-3 by the end of the first half.

In the second half, Kuwait regained control, with Al-Alaban and Ali Al-Ibrahim scoring the fourth and fifth goals, securing a 5-3 victory.

The Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain, Sheikh Thamer Al-Jaber, commended the Kuwaiti national team for their outstanding performance and qualification for the finals.

Abdulaziz Al-Samhan, the head of the national team delegation and a member of the Football Association’s Board of Directors, presented a commemorative shield and the national team’s shirt to the Ambassadors.

Abdullah Al-Shaheen, the President of the Football Association, rewarded each player in the futsal team with 1,000 dinars. Additionally, the Federation’s Board of Directors also provided an extra 1,000 dinars to the players for their qualification.

Al-Shaheen praised the players for their commitment, enthusiasm, and dedication to the tournament, as well as their exceptional performance, which enabled them to achieve a perfect record.

The President of the federation expressed confidence in the players' capabilities and their potential to continue achieving positive results in future tournaments.

The Kuwaiti futsal team's success in the qualifiers and their qualification for the Asian Cup finals is a source of pride for the nation and the football association.
