KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: The Secretary-General of the Hunting and Equestrian Club, Sheikh Sabah Fahad Al-Nasser, praised the resounding success of the Ahmed Al-Shalimi Horse Racing Festival in its second season. The event attracted over 27,000 spectators to the Hunting and Equestrian Club, eager to witness the thrilling competition. The festival featured seven exciting rounds with the participation of 121 horses from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and it was broadcast live on the club’s official platforms.

The 13th meeting race was a highlight of the festival, showcasing fierce competition for the prestigious prizes sponsored by Ahmed Al-Shalimi. These included three cars, three plots of land, and significant cash rewards. Sheikh Sabah described the festival as unparalleled in terms of prizes, audience turnout, exceptional organization, and the intensity of competition.

In the races, the following horses claimed victories across the seven rounds: “Shaqran,” “Moon Aspect,” “Dalham,” “Mubaher,” “Yaqlat Laha,” “Mutlaa Al-Nawamis,” and “Al-Ghadi.”

On behalf of the Chairman and members of the Supreme Committee for Horse Racing, Sheikh Sabah Fahad Al-Nasser presented a commemorative shield to festival sponsor Ahmed Al-Shalimi, in recognition of his generous support.

Sheikh Sabah also highlighted the growing enthusiasm for horse racing in Kuwait, noting that more than 300 horses participated in the festival's races. He emphasized the significant public interest, with families and women attending in large numbers to support the participants and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
