CAIRO, Sept 17: Ahmed Dashti continued to shine on the tennis courts, recently securing the top spot in the Egyptian Tennis Federation’s rankings after winning the Republic Pioneers Championship held on the clay courts of Alexandria Sporting Club.

Dashti claimed the gold medal following a series of marathon matches against seasoned players, including Wissam Farouk, Ahmed El-Qarsh, Ahmed Abou Gabal, Khaled Abdel Rahman, and El-Sayed El-Asrawy. Despite the tough competition, he managed to turn the tide in his favor and secure victories across multiple categories. He also teamed up with Egyptian champion Moataz Mabrouk, who, despite recovering from an injury, delivered an outstanding performance to clinch the gold alongside Dashti. Their partnership has garnered admiration from spectators, and they remain the top-ranked duo in Egypt for the third consecutive year, having previously won numerous titles in Cairo and Alexandria.

Dashti’s accomplishments also extend to the international stage, with victories at the Bahrain and Dubai International Championships, further solidifying his global ranking.
