AI in cybersecurity: Kuwait launches training for government officials
Minister of Interior during the launch of a training course focused on AI and cybercrime.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8: The Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences has organized a training course on artificial intelligence and cybercrimes for members of the Ministry of Interior, as well as other relevant governmental and educational institutions. The course is being held under the patronage and attendance of First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, along with Major General Fawaz Al-Sabah, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Education and Training Affairs.

According to a press statement by the General Department of Security Relations and Media at the Ministry of Interior on Monday, the course is taking place at the Arab Planning Institute and will run until October 9. The training covers various key topics related to the applications of artificial intelligence in combating cybercrimes.

The statement added that the course introduces participants to the concept of artificial intelligence, its components, and its most notable applications, such as voice recognition, self-driving cars, and machine translation. It also explores machine learning, deep learning techniques, and the use of artificial neural networks for analyzing complex data.

Additionally, the course addresses natural language processing, enabling devices to understand and analyze human language, and its significance in fields such as security, education, industry, medicine, and data analysis.
