KUWAIT CITY, Sep 9: The operations capacity at Kuwait International Airport has not yet exceeded 50% of what it was before the pandemic crisis. The capacity of arrivals to Kuwait at present is 10,000  per day with commencement for flights from Egypt, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Currently 40 airlines are operating at the airport.

DGCA is awaiting an increase in the operational capacity as there is high demand for flights from Alexandria, Sohag, India, Pakistan besides Dubai, Turkey, Italy and other destinations, reports Al Anba. Second phase will not exceed 60% ie. 20,000 passengers per day with 200 flights per day will operate. In the third phase 100% operation with a maximum 300 flights with 30,000 passengers per day  is aimed but the situation entirely depends on the situation of local and global health.
