KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27:  In the ongoing Doha International Basketball Championship hosted in Qatar, Kuwait's Al-Arabi Basketball Club encountered a tough defeat at the hands of Egypt's Zamalek, with a final score of 63-89. The match, held on Wednesday, saw moments of promise from Al-Arabi in the early quarters, but Zamalek ultimately seized control and extended their lead, marking Al-Arabi's second consecutive loss in the tournament.

This loss followed Al-Arabi's defeat by Libya's Al-Ahly Basketball Club with a score of 63-86 on the previous day. However, the Kuwaiti team managed to secure a victory over the Philippine Meralco Bullets with a score of 90-82 earlier in the week.

The Doha International Basketball Championship features eight clubs representing seven countries, with the first group comprising FUS Rabat from Morocco, Al-Hikma Beirut, Beirut First from Lebanon, and Degla Al-Jamaa from Iraq. The second group includes Kuwait's Al-Arabi, the Philippines' Meralco Bolts, Egypt's Zamalek, and Libya's Al-Ahly.

This exciting basketball tournament commenced on Monday and will continue until September 30th, offering thrilling matches and showcasing talent from across the region.
