KUWAIT CITY, Dec 7: In the ninth round of Kuwait's Zain Premier League for football, Al-Arabi Football Club secured a dominant victory over Kazma, triumphing with a commanding score of 4-0. This resounding win propelled Al-Arabi to the top of the league standings with 20 points, edging out Kuwait on goal difference.

Al-Arabi took control of the match from the onset, breaking the deadlock with a goal from Hamza Khaba in the 38th minute. Khaba successfully converted a penalty kick after initially missing, with Kazma's goalkeeper blocking the initial attempt. The first half concluded with Al-Arabi in the lead.

The second half witnessed Al-Arabi reinforcing its superiority, particularly in the closing minutes. Juma Abboud netted the second goal in the 80th minute, followed by Nayef Hamid adding the third in the 88th minute. Youssef Majed sealed the comprehensive victory with the fourth goal in the 94th minute.

Following this result, Kazma maintained its position with 13 points in the sixth spot. Meanwhile, in another match, Kuwait secured a hard-fought victory over Al-Nasr in the final minutes of the game. Faisal Zayed scored Kuwait's first goal in the 44th minute, and Taha Al-Khanisi added the second in the 91st minute. Al-Nasr managed to net a goal through Zapata in the 63rd minute.

This triumph earned Kuwait three crucial points in their pursuit of retaining the title, elevating their score to 20 points and securing the second spot. Al-Nasr held onto their fifth place with 13 points, maintaining an advantage over Kazma on goal difference.

The overall results of the round saw Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Kuwait, and Al-Arabi emerging victorious against Al-Shabab, Al-Nasr, and Kazma, respectively. Additionally, Al-Salmiya drew with Al-Fahaheel, and Khaitan shared points with Al-Jahra.
